Taungoo
Taungoo
was the seat of Myanmar kingdom in the 15th and 16th centuries. The
famous kings of Taungoo were Tabin Shwe Htee and Bayint Naug. From
Yangon 267km, it is situated on the Yangon-Mandalay highway and railway
and one of the main gateways to Bago Yoma. It lies on the No. 1
Yangon-Mandalay route. It is easy to get there by either train or car.
Count on about 6 hour's traveling time from Yangon. Places of interest
are Seinye forest camp is deep in the teak forest. By four-wheel drive
from Taungoo, it is and arduous journey of 4-5 hours. Shwe Sandaw
Pagoda built in 1597 AD.

Taungoo, 7/8 hours drive from Yangon. You can explore the scenic beauty
