Kayin State
Kayin State is situated North-East of Myanmar and close to Mandalay Division, Shan State, Kayar State, Thailand, Mon State and Bago Division. It is located on North Latitude between 15 degrees 15 minutes and 19 degrees 30 minutes and between East Longitude 96 degrees 26 minutes and 98 degrees 55 minutes. The total area is 11731 sq miles and the population is about 1.5 million. The majority are Kayin people and some minority races. The capital is Hpa-an.

The weather is hot but because it is monsoon climate the year round temperature is average 78-85 degrees F and the year round rainfall is average 170 " to 200 ".

You can travel by road, river and air but it is convenient to travel by car.
Hpa-an
It is a capitial of Kayin State. Hpa-an is about km far from Yangon. It takes 6 hours drive from Yangon.
